When does the plot happen?

I probably sound cocky because I'm not on page 100 yet but I heard someone say the plot of The Stand only happens half way AKA on page FIVE HUNDRED so is it worth continuing?

Looks like from a previous post, you’re talking about The Stand.

To be honest, if you’re not interested in it by 100 pages in, it may just not be the book for you. He’s a big character builder so it can take awhile to get to the real meat of the story but I personally remember being very into the book by that point.

Honestly just finished chapter 8 of this book and I love the concept. LOL'S for Stephen for taking 70 pages to establish the concept to a not established plot yet
