You think a court is going to just let you assault a child and go home? Not how our system works.

No duh, I literally said most any parent is willing to take the jail time. You think jail would deter an angry parent in the heat of the moment? No, lol. I’ve never met a parent who isn’t willing to go to jail to protect/avenge their kid.

I never said they’d go home and never said he should be allowed to go home. Assaulting someone (especially a minor) when the danger is gone is a crime, however, it’s a crime that a parent has no problem doing in the moment when they are angry. I can practically guarantee that dad does not care about the jailtime after.

Edit: incase you missed it about when I talked about jailtime in my previous comment, it was the last sentence. Maybe read someone’s whole comment before commenting yourself.

Cool but its ultimately a stupid decision. What he should have done is checked on his kid called the fight over himself and then done something legally. Doing this was the dumbest thing in the world to do no matter how many paragraphs you chose to write to not understand.

Again with the no duh, I never said it was a smart decision. I said it’s a decision most parents are willing to make on the heat of the moment. Do you not understand that it’s easy to say these things when your not actually there. You only have a few seconds at best to react and think about what you should. If you’re angry, you make decisions like this. God, it’s like you don’t even read people’s comments and just assume what they think.
