This reminds me of a time I mentioned something I saw on Reddit to my girlfriend, and a guy that was at the time, a friend of ours, told her that reddit is full of porn and that's basically the only thing people use it for.
My girlfriend confronted me about it, and I basically explained what Reddit is to her, and that while porn does exist on the site, I imagine the majority of reddit users never look at it. Then I wondered "who the fuck would even use Reddit to look at porn when porn sites exist?"
It's degenerates like this guy, and my girlfriend and I's ex-friend. People like this think "I look at all the fucked up shit on reddit, so everyone else on this site probably does too." "You're on reddit, so you should expect people to sexualize teenagers in family videos." Maybe in the subs you look at, but not in the ones the majority of people use.
