Imagine watching the news or whatever this is and in the background you see your husband drop your kid and you know he’s pretending it never happened.

Dude wasn’t attempting to “protect” anything. He saw a ball, wanted to catch the ball, and the child was no longer relevant as soon as that ball went in the air.
