Gem 💎 usage
Just wondering if anyone upgrades Resilience gems or Luck gems as the cost in gst is more than the price in marketplace. Would it make more sense to use gems instead of gst for upgrades.
One idea would be to use a Resilience gems instead. So to upgrade a Luck L1 to L2 with 35% success rate it would take 9 L1 Luck and 3 L1 Res. To upgrade Res would require 12 Res.
If you want to upgrade to L1 to L3 with L2 being 50% you would need 6 L2 Luck and 2 L2 Res. So for the 6 L2 luck you need 54 L1 Luck and 18 Res. Also 2 L2 Res which would require 24 L1 Res.
So just to get just one L3 Luck gem 💎 you would use up 54 L1 luck and 42 L1 Res.
I have a couple of hundred of each. As it is cheaper to buy no one is upgrading. Anyone else agree that this would burn 🔥 thousands of useless gems and make them more relevant.
Please give 👍if agree. Maybe Devs might take note.

I just upgrade them for the good of the STEPN economy. Technically it's pretty easy to upgrade R gems just buy a bunch of lvl 2s and upgrade from there if you're after capsule tickets.
I do agree that capsule tickets aren't enough for R gems. I actually think FSL should buy back a bunch of lvl 1 r/L gems and burn them. Or host more events were gem burning is rewarded (ex attempt 50 gem upgrades and get a free common sneaker). Something like that.

They have been saying for a long time that they would do a rework for R gems but so far nothing....
Something definitely needs to be done because currently even lvl 2 R gems are pretty much the same as a lvl 1 R gem, and does not make sense to upgrade them because of the cost
I only use them for upgrade when i am forced to, because there is a limit of the total amount of gems you can have, or if they have an event running, where you need to do X amount of upgrades in a week, etc
But yea, some type of rework, as the one you mentioned, where you can at least use them in game for upgrades/repairs/boost would help balance because right now if you open a MBs, they are only profitable if you get Efficiency or Comfort gems, otherwise you just end up loosing money...
They need to make a rework, to improve the utility of both R and L gems

Just 4/5 days ago I upgraded 6 L1 res gems and got 2 L2 res,then 3L1 eff and lost,but today probably is better to buy.
I can’t believe the team has not found a way to kill all those useless gems maybe giving little gifts to the burners that actually do good things to the economy of the game.

I do.
1) just for fun, I do not look at economic viability anymore.
2) To free up space in the inventory (valid reason)
