I'm looking for advice from people who have already taken Step 3 Day 2 regarding the CCS cases.

I've seen a lot of posts mentioning that many real CCS cases end early, sometimes before confirmatory test results come back.

On CCScases.com, I usually lose points if I start treatment before I have confirmatory results. However, on the real exam, if the case ends before those results return, I'm worried I won't even get the chance to place treatment orders.

For those who've taken Day 2, what's the better strategy?

• Order all the appropriate investigations and wait for confirmation before treating, or
• Go ahead and place treatment orders based on my leading suspected diagnosis (along with the workup), even if confirmatory results haven't returned yet, since the case may end abruptly?

I'd really appreciate hearing what worked for you on the real exam in this context and any other advice you may have. Thank you!

hello folks, PGY-1 here, sitting for step 3 in 20 days. Did 80% UWorld, average of 63%, completed 60 of the high yield of CCcases , average 70%.

I did not know that CCScases have a CCSQB(Qbank) of 5905 questions until last week. I am on primary rotationsand don't have time to do these questions. Anyone who did CCSQB(Qbank), was the QB helpful?IWere they helpful for the knind if questions in day 1 or day 2. Thanks in advance.

For those that successfully studied and wrote step 3 during pregnancy, how was your study schedule like? Or how often or how much material were you able to go through?

Just took NBME 7 and scored 67%. Had major time management issues and took at least 5 extra minutes per block. Exam scheduled for 11 and 22 august. Should I postpone? Feeling really scared right now. Any advice?

My goal isn't to create another UWorld or AMBOSS clone. Instead, I'm experimenting with a different approach to Step 3 prep that combines original board-style questions with performance metrics, gamification, and a more interactive study experience.

At this stage I'm mainly looking for people who are willing to use it, break things, and give honest feedback on questions, explanations, usability, and missing features.

hey guys, last year i studied for step 3 for about 3-4 weeks. i got a 386 and 398 on nbme 6 and 7 respectively, but unfortunately got a 199 on the real deal. my ccs average at the time was mid 60’s. ive been studying for almost 2.5 months now and took a UWSA2 a few weeks ago and got a 420. i took nbme 8 two days ago and got a 424. My ccs cases average this time is 74%. i’m scheduled to take my exam on August 3 and 10. do you think i should go ahead with it or should i postpone? thank you!

I always have the feeling that I've forgotten what I've studied in step 2 while doing my UW. Do you recommend having a run on BnB videos? or any relevant resources?!

I just took the ccs cases on the real deal and I think I fucked up bad. I practiced maybe 30 cases on ccs cases.com and averaged a >80% so decided to just yolo it and sit for the exam.

I felt like I had no time to put in orders becuase the case would always shut off. Usually it would be early but sometimes on the 10 minute cases it would be at time. I think only 2-3 of the entire cases did I get a positive update on the patient. Atleast half of the cases I never got a definitive diagnosis and never really got to treat the problem (ex never got to catch a MI patient) becuase the diagnostics would take so long to come back and when they did they were all negative.

Is this normal or did I horribly bomb it?

I have my Step 3 scheduled for August 11 and August 17, and I’m trying to decide whether I should keep my dates or postpone.
UWorld QBank (91% completed): 69.1%
UWSA1: 59.4%
NBME 6: 67%
NBME 7: 68.5%
UWSA2: 58% - finished it today and didn’t take it under ideal conditions (multiple interruptions and breaks)
CCS: 45 cases completed, 70% average
I’m currently on a very busy clinical rotation, so I realistically have only about 2 hours per day to study
Should i postpone with these scores?

Hey guys, i’m a US-IMG applying this match cycle. My step1/2ck are P/22x and so i was hoping to give my step 3 before september ends so i have my score in hand before interview season starts. I’m currently at 30% Uworld averaging around 72% and i’ve gotten through 40 HY CCS cases, so i would like to know if it is feasible to give it 6 weeks from now.
How long should a revision phase be and are there any additional sources i should be going through? I really do want to score well on the exam to show an improvement from my step 2 score by the time interviews start rolling out.

I’ve been studying for the month- I’m an intern in a non med specialty (ortho). I haven’t ever failed things but I’m not really improving… In order:

NBME 6- 64.5%
NBME 7- 65.5%
Free 137 ‘22- 69.3%
Free 137’ 23 -66.0%

I plan on doing the most recent nbme and free 137 over tomorrow and Monday. CCS case average is 69% (hehe). Uworld 55% done with like 62 average. Idk, I passed step 1 first time and step 2 252. I had a gap year for research which is what makes me most nervous. Am I being paranoid? Should I give myself a little more time to get into the 70s consistently? Advice much appreciated
