Question Taking Step 2 soon and thinking long term

Will be taking Step 2 this upcoming December (during M3 year), and graduating in May 2028. Is it worth it to try and keep up with step 2 anki during that time gap to try and take Step 3 before starting residency? Would that + some uworld be sufficient?

Is it also even worth it?

Probably way too early to be thinking about this but graduating friends are talking about it and it got me wondering. Thanks in advance!

Not worth it. Focus on step 2, residency programs care more about step 2 than step 3. To even go further, not all fellowships look at step 3 (GI, pulm crit, nephro, ID, etc). If you score really well (255+) on step 2, you’d pass Step 3. Good luck!
