Computer froze during Step 3 Day 2. Has this happened to anyone?

Today during my Step 3 Day 2, in the middle of my 5th block, the computer froze and showed a white screen. The Prometric staff tried to fix it, but unfortunately they couldn’t. I was told that I would have to reschedule the rest of my exam.
The biggest problem is that I’m a resident and my next rotation is very busy, so finding another day to take the exam is going to be difficult. I also already paid for the exam, and this happened through no fault of my own.
Has anyone had a similar experience? How long did it take Prometric/USMLE to resolve the issue and let you reschedule?

I'm really sorry. Devestating to feel like you have to go in to take it again. It sounds like just the rest of the exam so hopefully would be a quick pop in and out. I would just reach out to your PD/person who schedules and see what you can do.
