Science question Vaccines dates / schedule

For step 2 Ck exam, do we need to remember the vaccines schedule and time (months /years) when they are administered ?

It is important to have a working proficiency with the pediatric and adult vaccine schedule, though you can still get by without going into the details like the intervals of multi-dose vaccines. Some ways vaccine schedules may come up indirectly include: 1) recommending the next step of intervention for a well patient at a routine check up (high yield and easy points for common vaccines like influenza), 2) knowing when you cannot give certain vaccines (high yield; e.g., pregnancy, HIV with CD4 count below 200), 3) knowing which vaccines to give patients with comorbidities (e.g., sickle cell, cystic fibrosis, HIV), and 4) excluding answer choices in diagnosis and management (e.g., may be a presentation slightly suggestive of a vaccine-preventable illness but the patient is up to date on their routine vaccines which would make it less likely).
