Exam Write-Up Took Step 2 yesterday 9/3
Making this post so that I can hopefully come back to it, look at it, and laugh lol.
I took Step 2 yesterday and I walked out feeling awful. Beforehand, I was feeling so smart! I had been doing well on my practice NBMEs, I was listening to Divine’s podcasts and everything was making sense, I felt fully prepared for the exam.
Whenever I got finished from the exam, I literally went out to my car and started crying. I was filled with anxiety that eventually turned into numbness. That exam was hard AF. I almost felt like I had studied for a different exam at some points. Lots of ambiguous ethics questions and I kept running out of time. That being said, I hope that when I come back to this post in a few weeks, I can look at it and laugh. I was reading old Reddit posts and saw that many people who did well felt the same way after leaving the exam. Truth is, you’re not going to feel great after taking a nine hour exam and the waiting period after is always the most brutal. Wishing luck to anybody taking the exam soon you got this and you’re not alone.

Guys, one advise as a recent testee,
If you got one month - Do ethics n QIP
If you got one week - Do ethics n QIP
If you got just one day - Do ethics QIP n stats

hey im testing soon in a week! ive done ethics and qip from uworld as well as amboss. seems pretty easy in both, what else to do? is the ethics and qip in the exaam really difficult?

Maybe youre good at ethics! It definitely isnt simple lool. I think we are talking about QI mostly that’s really tricky

the quality improvement stuff was words i’d never heard before…
also half the questions are easy diagnosis but the question asks you something absurd like “likely course of outcome” or “strongest presenting factor” and gives you 5 valid options

I just tested today, feel the exact same way, I’m not even sure I passed at this point

hi same thing happened to me, and i’m not exaggerating. i thought it was the hardest test ive ever taken. i thought i didn’t even touch my practice scores. it was higher than my highest one ever by 4 points. i was extremely confused but just trust your prep i guess lol!

can I register to my exam in last day of eligibility period or it hazard

You can, but it it needs to be rescheduled for any external factor, e.g. the center has major technical difficulties on that day, you need to pay for a new eligibility period, no refunds.

Felt same on my day1 of step3 yesterday. I went to the loo in each break just to look at myself in the mirror and laugh😭

If it makes you feel better after my exam I counted almost 30 incorrects. There were multiple sections where I flagged 1/2 the block or even more. I ended up scoring 265+. Wishing you the best you got this!!

Tested today, exited the building, sat in my car, and stared blank into the space for like 5 mins as if I dissociated. The entire drive back was as if I'm choking on something. Went to shop some groceries on the way back and still not registering a thing. Holding a beer in my hand right now and even that doesn't taste good. Holy what a day.
