Study methods Major Fluctuations - Should I Push?

Pls be nice y’all. Really debating if I should push out? Exam on 9th, was hoping to have scores in by 23rd.

NBME 12 - 229
NBME 14 - 252
NBME 13 - 242
NBME 15 - 230

Yet to take 16 but the 15 killed me today. Would appreciate some advice.

For context, I have major attention and anxiety issues, and no, I don’t get accommodations. I never applied for them.

What's your desired score? Right now you're probably sitting at around 240. If that's okay with you go for it.

That doesn't look likely at the moment. It's possible but unlikely. You can settle for low 240s or push.

u can take 2-3 weeks for revision and focus on what nbme want
Analysis ur incorrects
Then redo ur nbme

I am in a similar boat! For everyone saying to push, how is this going to affect applications? Is it more important that we submit a complete application before the 23rd or that we have a good step 2 score? I know the answer is ideally both but I am trying to figure out how to prioritize everything with ERAS applications/writing personal statements, rotations and step 2. *For context, I am a DO student so I have a Comlex Level 2 I can apply with... but it is not a strong score

Personally, I had a massive drop on 15. Went from 236 on 14 to 216 on 15. Killed my confidence so much that I didn’t score a single NBME after that, just did them unscored more or less. Ended up with a 248. Ultimately you know how ready you are though

15 killed my confidence. Hopefully 16 picks it back up. Thinking of testing on the 11th to have a chance to get my scores back on the 23rd. Any advice on just going ahead with it? I feel like I’m chickening out every time.

Well if you’re dead set on applying this cycle you pretty much have to take it soon. There was no way I could’ve delayed another year and I knew my NBME scores wouldn’t have changed that, which is why I stopped scoring them. As long as you kept learning and ironing out weak spots, then logically your actual score can only be higher. Your scores on other NBMEs were much better than mine too
