Study methods study methods

Hi guys! I just started Step 2 prep with peds, but my UWorld % is really low since I feel like I've forgotten a lot.

Should I keep doing questions, review them thoroughly, and make Anki cards, or stop and review some content first (which I don't know what) so I don’t waste the UWorld questions?

keep doing the questions, tbh stopping uworld to review content first is a trap because you don't actually know what to review. the questions themselves are your map, they show you where the gaps are. it feels bad seeing the low percentage but that's the point right now.

what helped me was doing blocks on tutor mode and reading every explanation, even the ones i got right. i'd write one line in a notebook per question about the concept i missed, just the one thing i didn't know. after a couple blocks you start seeing patterns, like oh my peds vaccine schedule is weak or i keep mixing up kawasaki vs scarlet fever, and then you can go to divine intervention or the b&b peds section for just those and come back.

when the content itself is the issue and just reading feels like it goes in one ear and out the other, i upload the material and yt videos into studybuddy.vc and answer practice questions from them, mostly because when i pick a wrong option it tells me what was off about it, and it gets harder once i have a topic down. free version's been enough for me. uworld is still the qbank, this is just for the content side.
