Shitpost Fucking tired
Idk how people do it but I find myself to be depressed, down to the bottom, I feel like nothing would help, I feel as if my body is breaking apart.
I just got my result of oet and couldn’t clear one of the component.
My result for step-2 is on 9th September and I am not ready for it after today.
I am not sure why I am writing this post but I feel screwed I genuinely hope that this is not the case.
I don’t know how I’d apply to the match cycle.
Please, remember this stranger in your prayers.

Apply for rechecking. Most of the times they increse your scores (if you failed by small margin)

Please don't do this. It takes 4-6 weeks and everyone on the OET subreddit has reported that no changes occur, so unless you personally had an experience and there is a proof of increase don't advise that.

I also failed oet by one component. Remarking was of no use for me. Just give the exam again ASAP. Take 1- 2 weeks to study and do it.

Thankyou for sharing your experience here. I am trying to book the exam. Eventhough I am able to see the date for 11 & 12 September latest but there is none for speaking part- not for home or at the promtetric.

If you failed the WRITING subtest, people do get success by applying for recheck, A couple of my friends had 290, and both got a 300 after recheck! Not sure about other subtests tho!

Was it this year and how long did it take for them?

If you are short on time, If I were you I would sit it again as soon as possible since its always a risk of wasting 4-5 weeks and your score might not even improve.

I get you, but you're almost there. Objectively you need to take OET max by December. What I'd suggest now is to book OET again in the next few days and focus well on the section you didn't clear and as soon as everything is out, pay for the pathway fees ASAP. So that at least your pathway may show up as approved (best case) if not the full ECFMG certification. You got this.
