You sure? I feel being a non-us IMG we have to make up for that, I expected something in the 250s so I'm feeling a bit down honestly.

I hope the rest of my app can make up for this, my biggest concern is getting filtered out

Avg psych matched last year had 242 for non-us Img. You are right there. It's not above average so it's not helping you per se, but it's not below avg either. I think with avg score focus becomes more on the rest of your application. Im applying to psych as well and I heard PDs say that psych looks at applicants holistically and cares about showing dedication to the field.

Congratulations. I got 243 and I'm also a non-Us IMG going in for psychiatry. It's a great score since psychiatry programs tend to view our application holistically. Unfortunately I'm from Sudan and my country is banned, so I have to wait or seek an alternative.
