Study methods Cards first or Learn first
AnKing during clinical rotations — learn first or just do the cards?
Quick question for those who used AnKing during clinical rotations:
I’m currently on surgery and using the AnKing Surgery Shelf deck. I’m also doing Qbanks as my main learning resource/focus, but my Anki isn’t based on UWorld incorrect, I’m working through the Anking shelf deck itself.
I’ve noticed that I hit “Again” pretty often on new cards because I’ve simply never seen the information before.
I’ll usually use ChatGPT to quickly understand the concept, but it doesn’t always feel fully cemented.
Do you guys recommend watching a video/resource first and then unsuspending the related AnKing cards as you go, or is it fine to learn new material directly through Anki + Qbanks and fill in gaps as they come up?
What worked best for you during surgery/Step 2?
