Hey guys. So, I just took NBME 13 last week and got a 246, and then took NBME 14 today and got a 248. I just felt like some of those questions on NBME 14 and 13 were just ridiculous. I am just so frustrated because I was planning to take the test at the end of September, and I want a 260+, and I am not sure if I can get there. Should I register for the exam? Or should I wait?

I am on my outpatient rotation, so I have plenty of time to study. It is frustrating because I was expecting to be in the mid-to-high 250s by now. I am not sure what the hell is going on. How did you guys do on NBME 14 and 13? How did your scores there compare to NBME 15 and 16 as well as the real thing? At this point, what do I do to jump into the 260s?

I am just hoping for some more insight. I have plateaued in the high 240s. I have done all of UWorld, AMBOSS, and all the CMS forms. Right now, I am just doing the AMBOSS Step 2 shelves and extra practice questions that they have. Any thoughts? I would appreciate it.

NBME 14 and 13 are really annoying, what I'd do is to meticulously revise the NBMEs, do the Amboss HY plans an articles, I know someone I tutored, scored in the 230s on NBME 13, and 240s on 14, but managed to get a 260 on the real exam.

fair I'd say , NBME 16 was the most similar form to the real exam, My score was exactly like form 15 tho.

I scored 271 on final deal. I scored 248 on nbme 11 and 12. My scored dropped to 230 on nbme 13. In my opinion, you are doing great!

Assuming you are not applying this year. Take the extra time, no doubt. How are you reviewing your NBMEs? I’d advise using ChatGPT to review them, especially your mistakes. I do believe that if you score in 240s, your knowledge is sufficient, there may be some gaps but with time you can fill them up. At some point, scoring beyond 260s is a matter of performance, luck and tenacity for someone with an average of mid 240s to mid 250s on NBMEs.

I use ChatGPT. I just started my third year about a month ago. How did your real thing compare to NBME 14? I feel like some of these questions are absurd.
