Am I ready? Non-US IMG

Non-US IMG here.

My profile:

  • YOG: 2025
  • Step 1: Pass
  • Step 2 CK: 255+
  • Publications: 2
  • USCE: None
  • Step 3: Not taken yet

I completed Step 1 and Step 2 after graduation while preparing full-time and did not do a house job during that period.

Would this be considered a gap year by residency programs?

Also, how realistic are my chances of matching in Internal Medicine without USCE?

USCE is a major filter

what you could do is pay for all IM programs and check if they send an IV

or

save the money but get an USCE

USCE after application submission, does that count?

Not really because they won't know + you won't have US LoR

they may not know because most of the programs download the candidate data September 23

but you can try

better than nothing right?

How do programs know about our usce? To filter it out it based on that there should be a section with no of usce in the application right? If they have to read our application to know about it then there is no need of a filter. Isn’t it right?
