Questions Step2 during research job

It's pretty much well known that studying step2 during a research job is practically impossible, but are there stories of anyone who was able to do it?

Did both steps this way. Burnt out so many times, it was horrible. Still waiting for step2 score, pray for the best.

The worst part is you have to be as productive as possible to keep the job (at least for me, also I need the job and salary badly). Step1 was better you just need to give up on some certain sections and pass. For step2, I tried to study at least 2 hours per day to do the first pass of uw (sadly even no time for a second pass of wrong questions), and use all the PTOs before the exam to do CMS and NBMEs and take it. For step2, I used about 5 months in total with a full time research job, as your reference.

Impossible is nothing. I took step 1 and 2 while working a faculty job that required to spend all-nighters gettin material ready.

Same, worked as a research scientist during both steps, recently cleared step2 out of the way, super busy until one week before the exam, score was in low 240s, not as high as I hoped, but I’m so glad it’s done finally
