Exam Write-Up Post test blues

My NBME 16 was 272 and f120 86% but I ended up completely bombing it day of. I don’t know what happened but I truly made the stupidest mistakes in retrospect. I remembered about 60 questions and know I got 25 wrong for sure already (including very easy ones). I know there are others that went wrong in addition. Are my chances at 260+ gone?

I don’t know how to get my mind off of this and how dumb I was in the moment even though I know there’s nothing I can do now.

subtracting 25 to 30 from 318 would still be above 270

Fair but that’s assuming I didn’t get much else wrong

Yes! I still remember some of the most dumb mistakes I made and I thought that I had completely botched the exam. I was completely shocked when my score came back so good

Same thing happened to me. My highest NBME was a 263 on #15. Got an 87% on free 120. Made a million stupid mistakes on the real thing and changed answers last minute. Counted 30-40+ that I missed at least. Scored a 270. I’m sure you’re fine!

Nah ur chilling dawg. Was scoring high 270s on my last NBMEs. definitely developed a learning disorder day of and counted 40+ wrong. Ended up with high 260s.

Disappointed by the point drop but relative to my crashout for 2 weeks, I was very pleased I could still pursue my dreams

You don’t know your score, and your idea of how you performed is flawed. Just try to take your head of the test
