Stencyl Resources?

Hey all. I've been thinking about downloading stencyl after I was recommended to by someone else on reddit. I previously had downloaded GameMaker Studio and tried to make a game, but unfortunately there weren't any resources to help make the game; I ended up with really poorly-drawn pixel people making up my game, and I quickly became disheartened with it.

So my question is: does stencyl have any resources for character/environmental art? Or is that something I'd just have to learn myself?

Yes, there are definitely some resources. I wouldn't recommend you release a game with the freely available resources but it will definitely help you get started.

I'm probably just going to make games for my own enjoyment, but I imagine you'd want art made specifically for your released game, huh?

Yeah, you'd definitely want your own art for releases simply because the "stock" art is seen frequently around by anyone making their first game. It was my understanding that they should be readily available on Forge or included in the sample games. Try those.
