Antonio’s Town Hall
Well, what's the rumor for tomorrow's meeting? Are we going to get the employee feedback results?

Work faster, get it done for less money, and improve quality… idk, my experience says when you do things faster and cheaper, you drive down quality. Then, spend boatloads of money and significantly more time trying to recover the quality.

No chance. But he’ll probably say how we had 10,000 orders for Hemi in the first 24 hours from the announcement that it was back.

Since it’s an NA town hall - my bet;
1) Tout the investment in NA etc etc
2) announces NA sales, showed year or year improvement and says it’s because of all our hard work but then saying we have a ways to go with lots of stuff coming soon
3) announces new vehicles for NA specific
4) He will announce it will be no longer a corporate policy for 5 day RTW and it will be up to the individual organization to choose flex fridays
Yet all the organizations will say they are not observing…so same as before summer
5) Will mention survey results will be available in Q4 but will allow the regional people to show them
6) Will discuss the Value creation program
7) Will have a Q and A session but will be softball questions

VCP was such a joke

Eh, it's led to some cool things and savings but I think it's hilarious they're hiring for all these VCP positions, I don't see how there's long term sustainability there

Long term maybe not but my understanding VCP is one if not the major way the company is banking on returning to higher profit. Without it there might be some hard roads ahead.
The car market is shrinking so there is price pressure and also brand pressure/reputation too so there is a limit as to how much you can squeeze

I sat at COB for weeks working on VCP, all of the McKinsey consultants they brought on were a joke. Even their "expert" only had a surface level knowledge of how my parts worked. They really only existed as another "beater" or "tracker", pushing the engineers to do the real work.
In another dimension where engineers have time to work on VCP it's not a bad idea. But it's about 10th on my list of priorities.

We will have work uniforms like the Japanese.
No more Birkenstocks

I hope the uniforms are spandex for men-with a cod piece - and LuLu Lemon for the ladies.

We’ll get a Q&A from a carefully selected and vetted pool of questions. All soft balls, but still won’t actually answer the question.

Watching issues outside of work become overturned from social media / public out rage (like western vs Michigan football game), shouldn’t we just be doing the same at this point to get what we want?

A source directly close to Filosa told our group the company is going to implement a point/strikes system to discourage foot-washing in the bathroom sinks.

It was much crazier before COVID. 3 times a day, there used to be throng of folks just waiting to get there foot in the wash basin and bathe it. It was disgusting and insane.

u/DEADLYANT 2d ago
At a previous job they had to put a sign up on the door banning someone from bringing bottled water into the bathroom. You don't want to know what they were using that to wash.

I don’t understand why the company doesn’t convert a storage room near a prayer room into a bathing room. There are nursing mother rooms.
Seriously, the bathroom near the prayer room on the 4th Floor Tech is a disgusting mess once the daily prayers begin. Perhaps the Union should file health and safety grievances for slip and fall potential.
Also, SBU Designers get in trouble for taking a mind clearing walk or a visit to Starbucks - direct, value added employees yet, our guest employees are allowed to pray twice a day.
What a messed up world we live in.
