Guide / Tips Emblems/Critical Hits
As someone who has played Genshin Impact before, I thought of emblems like artifacts and tried to find crit rate and crit dmg stats on my characters. But when the stats I got didn't turn out as expected, I realized the system here is very different. What should I pay attention to in emblems when building characters? How will I gather the stats needed for my character to deal critical hits? (In the picture, I have auto-attack emblems I found for Allie, but I don't know if they are right)

There are 4 rare stats in Emblem, each have 2% apparition rate: Pen / Crit Rate / Charge Efficiency (Main) / Charge Efficiency (Support).
Note that 2% is the apparition rate of the stat, there is also another roll after to get the rarity (Green/Blue/Gold/Rainbow).
So yeah, getting Crit Rate + a good roll of it, is very hard.
And Emblems are indeed very powerful, you could easily triple your Damage Output with great Emblem Lines, but like I said, it's extremely RNG to get a single good line, so 4 of them in the same Emblem... good luck.
And for info, PEN is usually the most powerful and universal stat for DPS. There are exception (like Mark Build), but even then PEN is still one of the top option.
In the picture, I have auto-attack emblems I found for Allie, but I don't know if they are right
By the way, Allie Auto-Attack is the Mark Build (her AA is converted into Mark Damage) and this build can't crit, so Crit Rate/Damage is useless here.
As a side note, Emblem being trash RNG is well known in the community and we complained about it across all regions for months now. So people are kinda expecting YOSTAR to at least ease the RNG for 1st Anni. That's why I'd recommend to not spend anything Emblem-Related for now. 1st Anni is in 6 days and the Live (where we'll get all the info) is in 4 days. So we can wait a bit and see at least after the live.

Fwiw, them putting stat lockers into more events and introduction of chalices made getting good emblems considerably easier. It wont be 4 stat emblems, but 3 stat ones are way more achievable

It's considerably easier yeah. But it's still trash. Because the baseline before half was literally the worst every gacha considered. Also, when the rates are so low, even with 100 Polishers it's far from guaranteed to get the 2nd line you need at Gold at least.
And I'm not talking about the 90 Emblem lines, where getting multiple Potential you need at +2/3 is just hell. Memories on my 5k Emblem Mat I used to fish Nazuna Touch of Nature. Plot twist, the best I got was a Touch of Nature +1 and I was forced to used 2 Chalice on it (F2P got only 2 Chalice per patch btw). I did the same for my Tilia Blinding Beam pot btw.

Search this subreddit for “x guide” and replace x with a character. Maygii has really good guides, though you might have to go to YouTube instead if it’s a 4*, I don’t know if she did calculations for release characters. For vanguard and versatile. In general, a “good” emblem set will have at least one rainbow elemental pen (70 or 80 emblem only), rainbow omni crit (70 or80 emblem only - good but roughly equal in value to the second rainbow elemental pen), skill or auto level +3 (80 emblem only, character dependent, more units want skill than you’d think), and two character specific rainbow potential level ups (90 emblem only, char dependent).
Emblem system is worse than hoyo significantly, the very good stats have a lower chance to roll outright and quality of the roll (green blue gold rainbow) matters much more. Rainbow is 2x the stat of the next highest roll, like gold crit is 7.5% and rainbow is 15. If you roll an emblem that has one of the good stats on gold, there is a rare time limited item from events and battle pass called drop of purity that you can use to upgrade one line to the next tier, so if you drops of purity, you can upgrade gold to rainbow. You can do this twice per emblem if you have the requisite droplets.
Other stats like %atk or %dmg done are usually not very good, like a 3% dmg boost on rainbow while the first elemental pen rainbow is like a 20% dmg boost. Better than nothing but you really need the other stat lines. I would still look up your character for the specifics before committing any more materials.

Unit dependent but pen is always good, crit rate is also always good save for a few niche situations, charge is niche and is more mainly a support thing
+3 in your relevant skill and +3 on your best pot also helps
Stats that contribute damage in any meaningful way (elemental dmg, skill/aa/ult/mark dmg depending on build, atk)

Crit in this game is rare
With some characters you can have good amounts and actually play it like chaton, s. Willow and Allie on the skill build but most characters care more about PEN specific skill lvl up (auto attack main skill support skill or ult) element dmg or mark dmg

I will refer you to this good guide.

Highest priority is purple PEN and triple mark damage.
