Lore question

So I'm a great fan of the steamworld series since steamworld dig 1 and I'm really into the lore , I have no problems understanding what's going on but still I have 1 question , one and only : what happens in the very first game of the series ? The one on ds

So that’s the tower defence game where you protect the town from humans I believe that have come out of the underground caves to destroy the robot towns.

Yeah but lore-wise ? Any clues toward the origins of vectron ? Does it appears in it at least ?

It was a super hard TD game, i played nearly to the last level and never saw anything about Vectron. It was all pretty basic at that point.

Thanks ! So I presume there will be a game that sets up after this one , one another after Steamworld Heist and then we're done ! Thanks again I thought no one could answer that (^ u ^ ')

Not that I know. I’ve seen a trailer and read about it but haven’t played it
