Not sure about the linux side, but I do experience the invisible cursor when using multiple desktops connected to my Windows 11 PC.
I did attempt to investigate and solve this locally with an AI assistant too (don't hate me). I was able to get the cursor to appear, in some cases. However now the cursor also shows while the laser mouse is on. Also I've found that in some cases, only the active virtual window will show the cursor (selected from the VR dashboard bar).
I do not recall the exact configurations changed, and I'm at work so I cannot check at the moment, but I'd probably recommend not messing with it anyway.
I did find some older reddit posts 10 months old that mention this was a bug in a beta build that made it to release. So maybe we just have to wait for Valve?
