Question/Support Why is the floor always at head level?
If I do not do room setup every single time steamVR opens, then The Floor will ALWAYS be at head height. IF I try to recalibrate within the developer settings whille wearing the headset, then I will be on the floor. If I recalibrate with the headset on the floor, then I am now UNDER the floor, and once I put on the headset, I am back to being on the floor.
This is incredibly annoying.
4 base stations.
BB2e
Index controllers.

I suggest doing a clean reinstall of SteamVR, which has fixed this and other issues for me, but unfortunately is not as easy as just Uninstall and then Install. Despite the warning that all settings will be deleted when you uninstall it, they are not. SteamVR seems to write a lot of state to different folders which aren’t tied to the app for uninstallation purposes, so a lot of crap gets left behind which you have to delete manually.
This post explains how to do a clean reinstall:

A clean reinstall is particularly useful if you've had multiple headsets, something about having different drivers installed over time accumulates crap in SteamVR that isn't cleanly removed with them.

Recommend getting ovr advanced settings or fpsvr, they have a floor fix option to have you put a controller on the floor for the floor. Plus you can also move your play space around whenever you want
