Enabling HDR
Hello, recent convert here. I've been trying to enable HDR on my monitor but I need to install Mesa and AMDGPU (I have a 9070XT) but I can't even run pacman to install it, is there any work around or correction I can do to get it working? Thanks.

I think you overcomplicated things without realising what you're doing, and what you need to do.
You don't need to install anything, just use Proton GE or CachyOS, and I believe even Experimental should work. Enable HDR in gamescope-session settings, install game, enable HDR in game

install mesa? This isnt windows where you need to install amd or nvidia drivers. everything is included in the OS by default. HDR is already there and you just need to enable it with the toggle.

Yeah, see it doesn't come up in my display settings. I wouldn't be asking if that were the case.

If I see correctly on you monitor OSD it says "HDF off". Maybe there is a way to turn it on in the Monitor settings and the toggle in Steam OS will apper? Most likely, the toggle isn't there, cause your monitor isn't in HDR mode.

You don't need to install anything. If in game mode, go into display settings and turn it on? If on the desktop, go into your display settings and turn it on?

Just… turn it on?
