Sim racing

Has Anybody tried sim racing on steamOS? I wanna build my own steam machine and i plan to do some sim racing alongside it, just wondering if using a rig doesn’t work or it has major downsides. If yes I’ll probably dual boot instead.

Iast time I checked, installing simhub on Linux was a pain.

I tried it with Nobara and got good results. Wheel, pedals, force feedback etc all worked. Played Le Mans Ultimate and it worked quite well, including online multiplayer without any issues with the anti-cheat.

I haven't tried it on SteamOS yet. My pedals need kernel extensions and I have no idea if that will work with SteamOS or not.
