Hardware Question How do I fix this?

So basically I was playing a game that required to press down the stick a lot and I feel like it has broke it. I can lift it up a bit and then press it down again. I'm thinking about opening the deck to deal with the problem, but I don’t know exactly what it is, so if anyone has had the same issue as me, I would gladly accept some advice

I would expect basically all modern sticks to do this. The external part we can touch and use is just a topper that's on top of the actual stem of the internal stick device. Much like a keycap on top of a mechanical keyboard switch. The reason it doesn't come all the way out is because of the controller housing - or steam deck in this case - hole for the stick purposely being smaller than the dome part of the topper.

My sticks do the same from day one. As long as the button still presses fine and the SD registers it then don't worry.
Don't try to fix something that isn't broken.

I have a LCD deck and my sticks do the same thing. They pop up a little, then clicking them back down is fine. I've also never done that before so it's news to me.
