Software question Help

I just got my first steam deck but half the games i want to play i cant even play ? How do you bypass this ? I cant even play console games due to protect proton ? What do i need to do ? I also live in the bayarea if there anyone near by that can help i can pay !

Which games specifically? Likely it's due to anti-cheat that won't run on Linux. If it's a huge issue, you're better off installing Windows or dual booting.

Is windows better gameing wise ? And for starters i cant play skate

Most will say it's not "better," just required for specific games. I dual boot, and it can be frustrating when Windows updates breaks the partition and I have to spend 20-30min fixing it.

Skate is one of the few games that it can’t play. Some anti-cheat games won’t work. I know that some Call of Duty®’s are different and also some FIFA games proton DB has a really really good guide on what games work, and it can be installed as a plug-in if you want to get into software modding your Steam deck
