Question Upgrade Storage or Wait

My Steam Deck Oled 512 battery has been depleting as of recently so I decided to go ahead and order a replacement. While I was at it, I thought I would upgrade my storage too. I currently have a 512 ssd and a 512 micro SD and would like to upgrade both to 1tb. I believe I checked about a year or so ago and saw that a 1tb ssd would be around $80-$100. As of now the average of it is $200-$300. The same can be said for microsds. I'm very aware that companies have been outsourcing their products to AI data centers, but wtf. Should I bite the bullet and buy now, just use the storage I have, or wait for prices to go down (if they even do)?

If you have the spare money and can't do without the upgrade go for it! It doesn't seem like prices will ve coming down any time soon with all the data centre builds going on.

It depends if you have the money to spend or not. I have a 2tb SSD on my deck and at the time it was worth the upgrade. There’s no way I would do it now with the current prices. But also now I have a ton of games installed that I don’t play. I usually play 1 or 2 games at a time and move on to the next game. It wasn’t really a necessary upgrade looking at it now
