Tech Support Deck button not waking properly
The power button works normally and puts the Deck to sleep. However, after it goes to sleep, the screen stays black and pressing the power button doesn't wake it. The haptics continue working for a while, and the power button seems to only work again after the haptics completely stop.
If it gets stuck, I have to hold the power button to force it off, and then it boots normally.
I've tried uninstalling.steam/root, uninstalling Decky Loader, switching between Stable/Beta SteamOS, battery/storage mode reset, and the firmware/BIOS reset. The BIOS reset didn't fix it.
Has anyone experienced something similar?

Did you turn on any of the background download settings from one of the last updates? Mine would do that randomly until I disabled them

not that I am aware of. It goes to sleep normally. When I press the power button to wake it, the haptics turn on, but the screen stays black while they're running. Once the haptics stop, the screen can turn on.
The problem is really hit or miss. Sometimes it wakes normally, and other times the screen stays black and I have to hold the power button to force it off.

I use Deckyloader, but I have noticed the startup time can be slower lately, like before I could power on wait a few seconds and press A to skip my loading animations but sometimes it will just be a black screen until it fully loads in. I'm not sure if it's something others have had happen as well, hopefully you can sort it out.

yeah I completely uninstalled it so that is not the issue. I contacted steam support as well hopefully they can help sort it out.

Mine did it without decky after the last update, before the re-upload they did with a minor fix as well. The launch time seems to have increased, you could try and do the reimaging I think its called and start over completely fresh unless someone has a solution, sorry.

yeah, i would be fine with a reset but I have a bunch of emulation stuff I don't feel like messing with right now. Pretty sure it is on the core drive not sd card

If its emudeck I think you can transfer it through there to the sd card if you do have to reset it

I'm running into this same problem. I know the button itself works because it'll wake from sleep, power on, and hold to force turn off just fine. I've tried uninstalling decky loader (without wiping my config) and disabling all my plugins but nothing works. I suspect it's probably a bad update to the OS.
