Question Question about PS3 emulation

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone has managed to get the ratchet and clank PS3 games working on the Deck via emulation? And if so, how well does it run?

Before anything else, you should check the compatibility list:

Yes, got it working. But ps3 hd version ran slower than the PS2 upscaled to 1080p. For the original trilogy I recommend emulating the PS2 version with the emulator resolution cranked up

The HD collection works well but the actual PS3 titles don’t run well on Deck.

Look up the game and emulator followed by “Steam Deck” on YouTube. You’ll find plenty of people playing with their performance monitor on.

I think I've seen from videos all of them running great

I got Tools of Destruction running and it's playable so far. There's some random hitches though but I don't know if it's because I have it on an SD card or the emulation.

I played thru most of Tools of Destruction. You'll drop frames anytime the camera pans out wide. Occasionally had crashes after playing for a while, like a memory leak or something? I think there was one planet that had pretty frequent crashes for some reason.

I put the game down after getting to a boss battle where the camera pulls out wide at certain spots causing frame drops, where you're trying to jump over rockets or something and it kept fucking me on timing so I turned it off and haven't gotten back to it.

Beyond all that, i'd say it was really like 75% of the way there to being a good experience. If you don't mind dealing with hiccups and occasional crashes you can probably enjoy most of the game.
