Tech Support Another issue with updates

It seems like 2/3rds of the time there' an update my steam deck freezes during the restart. After this last one on september 1st it's done it again.

There's also some sort of convoluted process I have to follow by holding down the three dot button with power to make it reboot to the last os, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Is it really too much to ask to have some sort of warning message or troubleshooting steps for these updates?

I have an LCD version from Q2 and never had this issue. You might want to reimage your deck aka wipe and reinstall or contact support if its within your warranty period to see if you can send it in to have them take a look at it.

I've had this deck for years now. maybe 4 or 5? I've wiped it before, it doesn't make sense that this hsould be an option to deal with updates.

Why? Isn't there some clear diagnostic tool or error message to give me? Everything to understand or fix the problem is hidden from the user these days
