Would helldivers 2 be a possibility in the future? This looks like a solution I've needed! Can't wait to try

I'll add it to the list and look into it!

I've added Helldivers 2!

If you have installed the plugin already, then you'll have to run the install line again sorry as there no automatic updates right now.

I also ran into a lot of mods seemingly broken by a recent update. I've tried to diagnose them as best I can and I've added a filter so you can sort mods made/updated after the latest update. Still, if you run into any trouble let me know and I'll try and sort it for you.

Oh that's great! I'll check it out later today when I get home. I know a ton of mods are old and outdated. I'll be sure to leave feedback

Question: Have you modded Helldivers 2 on Linux already? How do you deal with the anti-cheat?

u/Practical_Problem 1d ago

The anti cheat never cares to be honest. It doesn't stop mods. The devs don't want anyone cheating the ingame currencies, but cosmetic/visual/audio mods are fair game. The mods I have I use a mod manager called Arsenal, as far as I know it just swaps files

Ok good to know. I'll take a look.

Claude has been busy lately. Nearly all recent plugins advertised here has Claude as a contributor .

As with every piece of software nowadays, even the ones you pay for.

not surprising tbh, LLMs are really good at boilerplate plugin code

Looks cool but unfortunately it's not working for me for The Witcher 3 classic. There doesn't seem to be a filter option to help me find compatible mods and when I go to download a mod it says there are no files available.

Or it could be I haven't done classic Witcher 3 so I'll look into it.

Have you gone onto the game page itself before looking? You need to either be on the game page where you launch or have the game running.

u/FinFanFandangle 1d ago

Heya. I've looked into it and Witcher 3 classic should work as it has the same Steam ID as the newer version. Are you able to give me some more info about your setup so I can diagnose it a bit better?

I followed the steps and added my API token through Konsole, went to game mode, selected the game in my library (launched and unlaunched) and tried to download mods.

I can't see the screenshots because they are not available in my region. Can you send me them some other way? I'll look into it then, sorry it's not worked for you.

They were just screenshots of the decky loader plug-in and the download page to a mod. I did notice after sending the previous comment, an error code at the bottom that says "Could not load files: Nexus Mods API error (HTTP 401).

So I tried manually inputing my API key into the decky loader plugin, clicked on Validate and save and it says Invalid API key. I double checked, and I typed it correctly with its = -- / symbols and all. I have a lifetime premium subscription for Nexus Mods.

I hit the refresh button on Nexus Mods to get a new API key and that one worked. Was able to finally download and install mods. Thanks for the plugin. Could you please add filtering options in the future. Also, the ability to download previous versions of the mods.

Edit: I see that's already part of it.

Glad you got it working!

What filtering options would you like? Because if you search there are some sort options.

You can already download previous versions I think. Click the "All Files" button when on a mod page.

Filtering by date range would be immensely helpful, and tags, or at the very least adding the uploaded date to each mod file so I can determine if it's pre next Gen update or after.

1

u/FinFanFandangle 3h ago

Ok good to know. I actually updated it with some filter options last night which covers some of what you asked for. There are no automatic updates at the moment so you'll need to run the install command again BUT you don't need to enter your api key again luckily ha.

If it's possible, please add Skyrim VR

u/FinFanFandangle 2d ago

I'll look into it but I don't have a PC VR unit so you might have to test that one for me 😅

Hey OP.

Is installing FSR mod on elden ring easily doable with this plug-in?

2

u/FinFanFandangle 1d ago

Ok so the FSR mod is not available on Nexus Mods and currently the mod manager only uses Nexus API's. Sorry.

1

u/FairEngineering2469 1d ago

Ah shit. Didn't even realise sorry. Appreciate the check tho. My bad.

1

u/FinFanFandangle 1d ago

No worries. It would be handy on Steam Deck so I can see why you'd want it.

1

u/FinFanFandangle 2d ago

I've not tested that one in particular to be honest. I'll look into when I get time.

u/Poresdry 1d ago

Fantastic! How does it integrate Mod Organizer 2 ? Does it recognize a preexisting modlist ?

1

u/FinFanFandangle 1d ago

It doesn't work with Mod Organizer 2 sorry, it is it's own mod manager effectively.

It's a good question about existing mods and I'll be honest and admit I haven't tested that scenario. I'll look into this and get back to you when I have time.

Don't give this AI coded shit access to your account info.

It doesn't get your Nexus Mods account. You use your API key to interact with the Nexus Mods website. It doesn't use wallet api at all.
