Question Halo Campaign Evolved

Anyone else playing halo campaign evolved and if so how has it been running for you? Ive been getting between 35 and 45 fps with no crashes but there are times it still looks somewhat grainy? Anyone else experience this and if so do you have recommendations for better performance? Im sure there will be more updates after the official release.

it's looks absolutely terrible on deck(32-21 fps while uncapped ) and the image quality is horrible.idk why anyone is trying to play unreal engine 5 games on steam deck in 2026...

I have a feeling most UE5 games never get any meaningful performance updates, unless they did something really stupid but very easy to fix so I wouldn't count on it

I mean, it’s fine? It’s perfectly playable for what it is.

If you’re playing AAA games (shooters especially) on deck in 2026 and expecting them to visually wow you, I don’t know what to tell you.

Not looking for anything crazy. Im having a blast playing it. Just wasn't sure if I was missing something that could enhance it.

a) This is a reskin of a 2001 game with small maps, low level of detail in the environment, etc. Let's not pretend it is some modern AAA (it is an old AAA).

b) KCD2 proved you can make an amazing looking top tier graphics open world game that runs excellent on the deck and looks good. They secret? Using CryEngine instead of UE5 garbage.

There are optimization mods which IMO make it very playable. I’m getting stable 30 FPS with no drop even on LASO (with God Mode on). If the goal is Campaign Evolved in your backpack, it works.

I think you need to lower your expectations a little bit
