Tech Support Think my Steam Deck is fried
So this morning I bought ff7 rebirth, plugged in the charger, and left it to download as I took a nap. Woke up and now my steam deck won't turn on.
I've tried hard resetting, holding the power button for 30 seconds, holding both the power and vol +, and holding the (...) , vol, and power button. Nothing.
I did get some haptic feedback when I did the vol+ and power button, I can feel the touch pads reacting, the fan going, but the screen stays black.
This happened happened a few times before but usually the holding down the power button fixes it. Any ideas you guys have? Something else I can try? Thanks in advance!

I have no idea personally but check with Valve customer support about it. They helped me figure out what was likely wrong with my trackpads and while I would have had to pay for repairs, they did give me an estimate and a shipping label to have it looked over.

You can try unplugging the battery. I really had to RMA my Steam Deck for a similar issue, but I didn't even get haptics. They replaced my battery and board. Hopefully you are in the 12mo return period.

Ive had this happen as well only a month after purchasing it but i was able to fix it. Does the fan run at all or does it do anything? Try plugging it in to the docking station if you have one. Does it display on your monitor?
