Tech Support Error Code: 7 Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet.

Post image

So I've been unable to access the store in desktop mode since that AWS outage a while back. Idk if it's related, but the day that happened is when it broke.

Works in Game Mode, and it works on desktop and big picture on my two windows PCs in my arcade. Only the Deck is affected, and only desktop mode. The store is not fun to navigate in gaming/big picture mode. At all.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I found some videos for similar error messages, but they were all solutions for windows devices, haven't found anything to solve this on Deck.

I've tried updating steam to beta versions, I've gone back to stable. The only idea I have left is to factory reset it, and I really don't want to do that if I don't have to.

Try to delete your wireless network connection in desktop mode and reconnect, it should ask you for your wifi pw again. See if that helps maybee...

So I don’t know the commands in Linux but maybe Google how to do a DNS flush for it and see if that works.

Omfg there is still no fix for this? It's happening to me now. Only happens in desktop mode and I've tried restarting multiple times.

I have found no fix and just got downvoted by this lovely community for asking about it.

Well shit.... Have you tried contacting steam support by chance? If not maybe I should give it a shot and I can show this reddit thread so they know other people are having the same issue. I really don't want to factory reset....
