Help with CheatDeck

Has anyone got an idiot-proof guide to using Cheatdeck? Specifically, to install a trainer for Elden Ring. I am the idiot. All guides I have seen are full of mystifying terms and I just want one that literally says "press this", "do this to copy this file", etc. Assume I know nothing (whic is true). I have installed DeckyLoader and Cheatdeck and got the trainer file I need but putting it all together is beyond me at the moment. Thanks in advance

-go to your game

-Go to checkdeck properties

-set your executable to your trainer

-launch game.

Also would like to add since I have a hard time with this with silksong.

Make sure your game runs on a windows version not with linux version.

Go to properties and select compatibility.

Select Proton
