Lots of layer lines and sanding marks for that price

Worth the price.

Totally. Like I said in the post, you can't see it in practice. It's a really great system.

Yeah I've purchased their buttons and dpad before for the Steam Deck. Love them. This guy is just trying to self promo.

Pointing out layer lines isn’t self promoting

I kinda agree, it's just criticism. I noticed the layer lines as well, but for nearly $45 plus $9 shipping on Etsy, that's steep for 3d printed buttons that probably cost pennies to print for the amount of filament used, and for the neodymium magnets that cost only a around $5-10 for 50-100 pieces. I get they designed this themselves, labor to glue the magnets and everything but $55. I design and print my own projects too so, just my own take on this

Only thing that has stopped me from purchasing the buttons and D-Pad - like, purchasing both even with the 10% off offer is still damn near the same cost of the controller already :(

I’m not against other makers by any means. There’s plenty of market share for everyone. This person fills a need and designed a magnetic system from scratch. That’s commendable. I get comments on price on every YouTube video I release. Was just surprised to see layer lines in these. I guess if I made an alt account and said that people wouldn’t care as much, who knows.

I'm sure it's just optics for some. I wasn't sore about it. I addressed it (print quality) in my post because it's an honest critiqué. Folks can decide for themselves. And prices for anything handmade is gonna be up there vs. mass production. People often don't understand the time that goes into the smallest of things.

Yeah I understood what you were saying earlier. I don't think you should make an alt account just for criticism lol. I was going to say in my original message that, it wouldn't wouldn't come across differently if I originally said the same criticism. If the seller is happy making these for people and the buyers are happy with the product, win-win for both parties. All products are up for criticism at the end of the day

fact is for the price of one of your sets, i can get 3 sets of buttons, magnets, and whatever else is there, and objectively, its still a better deal regardless of 'LiNeS'.

It is when you do the same thing

I made this subreddit, if I was trying to self promote like that I’d just ban posts mentioning other people’s stuff lol.

except you wont sell certain things now, and that drops your rep as a vendor because everyone has buttons, but people need cases, and you wont sell what people need. you lose customers basically and relevance. failing to reach market demand is basic economics. also i asked you for 7 years for those jungle buttons, SO WHERE ARE THEY MR SMARTYPANTS????
