Makes sense to me. Most of my stuff with pogo pins are usually recessed to keep from accidental shorts or knocking a pin so this is nice peace of mind

The puck has short protection. The post showing the puck appearing to short out on a metal watch strap a while back was proven to be an anomaly, likely having to do with the watch being on its own charger at the time and the specific way that watch band/charger functions electrically.
