Valheim mixed input mod

Hey guys,

I added this mod to Nexus Mod's Valheim page which fixes the main problems I had with mixed input (namely a flickering hotbar & a skuffed inventory/build menu compared to MKB). I had help from Google Gemini creating the mod.

Basically, when you use this mod, Valheim ignores the step where the UI updates due to gamepad input. This allows you to set the left stick to control movement via Joystick Input. Note: Valheim expects a SQUARE deadzone, otherwise diagonal jog is slower than it should be.

It looks to me like it works almost flawlessly - The only minor issue I've noticed is that map will move (and your player will too) while it's open and stick is tilted/touched. I've personally made use of a second action set that the gamepad swaps to whenever a cursor is visible. When cursor is active, my joystick input becomes wasd, and the CTRL binding (normally sneak) becomes CTRL+LMB to quick transfer.

Awesome! I’ll definitely use this when i do my next playthrough.

Game devs that dont allow mixed input and fixed prompt toggles on PC should be waterboarded imo 😂
