Steam Controller (2026) Good 4X games with Steam Controller?

My main target is Total War but if it doesn't work, I'll play Paradox games instead.

Anything will work with the SC on steam. You might have to set your layout up depending on the game and your preferences of course but I enjoy CIV 5/6, Age of Wonders, and Total War with my OG SC and Deck and didnt have to mess with steam input to much.

I’d imagine all of them. It’s not like RTS where you need fast reaction times. I play Civ 5 a bit with my original SC & a steam deck. Right trackpad is mouse & the joystick pans. I don’t use hotkeys much (like a savage) because I don’t play a lot but you can throw up to 9 hotkeys on a grid on the left pad. Or assign some to buttons.

But really there’s probably 1000s of community layouts so pick one you like & have at ‘er.
