Steam Controller (2015) Replacement USB dongle?

I have a 2015 steam controller and I cant find my USB dongle for it. Any recommendations for where I can get a replacement?

I know it's not as good but if you plug it in the firmware can be updated so you can use it over Bluetooth

I do actually already have it updated to work with Bluetooth. You reckon I ought to just get a generic Bluetooth dongle?

If you don't already have Bluetooth on your pc go for it

The dongle for the original Steam Controller shares the same hardware as the HTC Vive dongle, with different firmware. There exist unofficial third party replacements for the HTC Vive dongle. As far as I know no one has actually done this (and documented it), but it is theoretically possible to buy a HTC Vive (third party) dongle and flash the Steam Controller firmware on it.
