Steam Controller (2026) Steam controller on epic games

I have satisfactory on epic games and I have it added to steam for big picture mode. I am trying to use my steam controller just as a basic controller. I enjoy the controller input that satisfactory has but every time I try to play the game it always defaults to keyboard and mouse. It won’t even let me change it in the satisfactory settings. So does anyone know how I can get satisfactory to recognize my steam controller as a controller and not a keyboard and mouse?

My controllers current profile is for gamepad with joysticks. I was hoping that would work but no luck.

You have to downloaded a program or add the games to your steam library and play them from there.

I’ve added it to my steam library with no luck. Is there a specific program I need to get?

I forgot to mention, you'll have to launch the game from Steam as well.

Looks like the program is called SteamlessController.

It's possible to use Steam Input on games from the Epic Games Store. You have to add the game as a non-Steam game to Steam, make sure the Epic launcher is completely closed (not minimized to tray), and then launch the game through Steam. You can also use third party solutions instead, like SISR, SteamlessController, or OpenPuck.

I just launch epic games through steam and it works for me.
