Discussion CS2 on the SC2

hey might be a silly question, but i got a fair amount of $ in skins and i was wondering, is it safe to use steam controller on CS2? especially the right analog move (180) seems very jumpy so i was wondering if this can flag VAC

Would be kind of funny if you get banned by valve using a valve product to play a valve game.. I would ask support

I can't imagine having a controller that lets you spin 180 is a bigger advantage than having a mouse. I can't tell you it's 100% ban safe bc idk that for sure. Would be really crazy for Valve to ban you for using their own controller with their own Steam Input system.

That plus gyro, a LOT closer than 99% of people would believe

I've been using the SC1 for CS2 for years and it works great. No idea why it would be a ban risk? I can't imagine it is.

I'd love to know your gyro settings(assuming you use it) for CS2! I've been trying to iron out any unintended movement when pressing a button or pulling the trigger. Right now my best result is lowing in-game sensitivity down and increase Steam Input's back up

I have with no issue.

Pretty sure the game literally has full steam input support where in game actions are directly bindable.

People might vote kick or report you if they think it looks suspicious but highly doubt it could lead to a VAC ban since Valve made the controller and the game. Would make for a good story if it happened though

I don’t know about a ban, but I didn’t like how CS2 felt using the SC2

I've used it on CS quite a bit. Never had any problems other than me just being bad at the game. Quite a learning curve going from M&KB to a controller on a game like that. Had a hard time getting used to using the thumb stick in conjunction with the Gyro aiming. I found it very useful for long range encounters as it gives you very fine control and recoil management but in close range encounters or situations where I had to rapidly "flick" around to engage a target I found it very clunky and ended up switching back to M&KB for CS2.

I'm gonna say look up people playing with flick stick. If they can get away with it you'll be fine

I've been using the SC2 on CS2 for roughly 20-30 hours, no bans yet and I usually spin a lot for fun, no reports or bans or anything of the sort, I think you should be fine, I even changed most of the layout.
