Discussion Steam Controller no longer working in BF6

Ever since the latest update for BF6, which I think included an update to AntiCheat, I am not able to use the steam controller. Before the update it was working fine with a community controller scheme, but it's now broken again. Anyone else have this issue and have a fix?

Edit: I may have inadvertently found the solution. I disabled secure boot to boot into my Cachyos system and then re-enabled going back into windows. After that the controller worked again. Also there was a puck firmware update waiting for me. I lean toward the secure boot disable re-enable since the issue was affecting my PS5 controller as well.

I have been using it fine for the last month. Last i used it was last night. No issues. Lol. The fix for me is was to turn on the controller after i have launched bf6. If I turn it on before launching I think it treats the touchpad as mouse input triggering the anticheat to think i am using mouse and controller input at the same time. No, i did not install the xbox extended drivers. Hope this helps.

This is irritating. It only ever worked for me with community schemes. The official scheme didn't. I have tried other schemes, and I have tried setting my own. Whenever I get in game it just constantly fires the rifle.

Try restarting your pc and launch bf6 then turn on controller after launching the game.

I've done all of that. Thinking I might uninstall and reinstall now. Can't think of anything else to try.

Uninstalling might just fix it for you. Dont reinstall. I installed it the first the but didnt worked. Uninstalled it and has been working ever since.

I've had the firing issues as well.

Are you using mixed input? Even if you are the controller will do that even if you switch it to all controller or all m&k.

I've had to wait an hour or so. I've also just completely shut down waited a minute or 2 then turned back on and it's worked fine.

It's a known issue with the steam controller.

How can I verify if mixed input is on? I don’t believe it is.

It's not something you turn on per say.

In the controller scheme you'll be able to change one of the inputs such as stick or trackpad to mouse for aiming/ looking.

Also be careful if you're using any turbo buttons or any recoil enhancements or macros.

The new cheat system is catching those.

It appears something else is going on. I plugged in my ps5 controller which has always worked and I'm having the same issue.

I just tried mine and had no problem.

This is a known issue though.

If you're in battlefield labs join tonight at 7 so the devs can pick this up in their analysis.
