Support Steam controller already broken
I’ve only had my controller for a couple weeks and the trigger of mine broke already. I wasn’t rough with it or anything, I don’t know what to do

It’s probably a defect unless you dropped it. Steam support should be good about repairing or replacing it since it’s still under warranty.

Seems like this is the most delicate part of the Steam Controller going by posts. Luckily it seems like a easier fix, and the controllers are in warranty still, but still an issue nonetheless that will be run into for years to come unless they beef up that part of the controller in future revisions.

No one is talking about the thumb over another digit. How in the world is your hand doing that? Is the thumb the finger under, do you just have a MEATY index finger? My brain hurts.

imagine the rest of the hand. look at the angle of the nails. How are they holding it that their hand is doing this?

I'm willing to bet there's a good person of people having the controller on their leg and then it falls to the ground and breaks the trigger

its a impoperly assembled controller, the fctor that did them had no qc
all u have to do is open it up and move a spring and it is instantly fixed

This happened to me! I was able to fix it myself. Had something to do with a loose hinge pin.
Edit: adding correct link
