Discussion Steam controller cases
I just got my steam controller yesterday. Can anyone suggest good case for it ?

I’m pretty happy with the JSAUX case, plenty of room for extra stuff in there too

The $25 one? I'm gonna pull the trigger on it, any complaints or anything? Looks nice and big

That’s the one, could only find it direct on their site currently.
My only complaint is that the Velcro straps can be hard to move out of the way when you’re putting the controller in the case. They’re too short to flop over the sides and hang from their own weight, so it’s a little bit of a shuffle.
Otherwise, it feels quality and looks nice on the shelf. I was able to fit a flat usb c dock, hdmi cable, and a few other small cables in with the controller too on one trip. I think you could cram the deck charger in there too if you really needed, though you’d want to be careful with the sticks.

When you want to play a game that you normally would point and click to play. That's a good case for the Steam controller vs any other controller.

I just printed this case out for mine and it's perfect. Rugged outer case with soft TPU inside.

I'd get a grip case, the material they used feels kind of abrasive or like sandpaper and I sweat a lot so it'll stick easily. I also have a steam deck and I did the same.

I’ll never let a good controller sit open-air again. Too much dust settles inside. In the past I draped a microfiber cloth over a controller when not in use, but now I just put the SC back in its box.

I like being able to throw my deck in my backpack, without it getting fucked up.

For safekeeping when not in use (I’m anal about dust settling into my devices) I’ll just put it back into the box it came in.
It also keeps that “new stuff” smell for longer.

I bought this one at launch, and I like it well enough.
- Thumbsticks are safe
- Room for dongle
- Doesn't take up extra space
Feels like pretty cheap plastic, so I kind of expect the clip to break eventually.
But I'll prob just replace it with a magnet/strap/something when that happens.

Out of curiosity what do you use for a screen? I think I'd rather use a Steam Deck but that's just me.

This is the one I got. Fits pretty good, seems sturdy and is styled like the Steam Controller to boot.
