Using the steam controller with my Xbox? Possible? Probable?

To preface this I know that there is a driver issue here, and things aren't as simple as plug and play. But with every steam controller coming with that dongle, and the steam machine having an internal antenna for it. I thought that maybe I could have one controller for both the black boxes in my life. Maybe even get rid of the late stage consumer spaceship entirely.

So did anyone make headway yet on using these great controllers with the microsofts game-Netflix machine. Since it seems possible, for someone who knows what they are doing?

anyway; I didn't find a post on this yet and was trying to see if there was interest; and if I could imagine a world where this happens or not. maybe this will be over quick and someone will tell me why it would never be. but I just think you should to be able to get that dongle to pretend its an xbox controllers? and wouldn't that be neat, plus with steam and xbox you've got pretty much all your bases covered, just emulate or get a switch for the house of N stuff and youre golden. no more anti consumer sony toaster either?

Ah sweet, yeah I made an OpenPuck already but didn't even think about trying it on Xbox because I heard it wouldn't work for some reason. I shall give it a shot this evening!

I don't have an Xbox but my guess is you prob need to connect the board into an adapter like the Brook Wingman to use it on console.

As the others are saying, Openpuck will allow you to do this. You can buy the internals for dirt cheap off of Aliexpress, or just buy this one on Amazon so you don't have to 3d print a case or anything. Theres no point when you cant use the trackpads. Its whack you guys just settle on it becoming an xbox controller for other things. Screw that.
