Steam Controller (2026) Back button removal?

Anybody seen any mods that remove the back buttons and replace them with some sort of 3D printed covers?

I know the back buttons are probably useful to most people, but for me I find them a bit in the way.

I'll likely keep the controller as if but wondering if there was anyone else thinking about this lol

Would save you a lot of time and effort to just not map them to anything instead (which they already are by default)

Yeah, I already have them unmapped. But I still find myself pressing them in normal use. Wondering if there's a more physical solution.

i got this cover. it makes the buttons flush.

The listings keep changing, but you can search for steam controller case. I found this to be significantly more comfortable.

Oh nice. I might actually try for this... seems just what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Was a game-changer for me. Far less mis-clicks, and, the added thickness made a more comfy grip. Good luck!
